Our child, at age 15, was flying through junior high without having to make an effort. It was a different story once he reached high school. In one semester, he was in a position to fail because he had a 2 in Physics (an eliminating grade), although his other grades were good overall. That’s when we searched for help and found Polycours Institute. The framework was set up quite quickly. Through the coaching, he is working on himself and his approach to his studies. With a tutor, he reviewed his entire physics program. He even improved his understanding in Math. 

The results were immediate. Our son became more diligent. He has a more positive attitude towards his studies and his family. And how wonderful, he earned a 6 in Maths. His score in physics is not yet determined, but his teacher contacted us and told us how his attitude had completely changed—“he is more motivated, more present, more dynamic. I don’t know yet about his work, but I am enjoying this evolution.“

He is more confident in his abilities in all scientific subjects, even if they are not his cup of tea. He continues to improve and will continue to work until the end of the year to improve his grades in physics, and to build a solid foundation for his work during the second year. 


 
Family P, Neuchatel (coaching and academic support) In October 2009, when we saw the low grades, especially in the branches of science, of our son,  who is in the second year of high school, we decided to organize support for him, and quickly. We had three goals: the tutor can help support our son prepare his written work to improve his grades, and to help to restore his confidence. The third objective was to fill some gaps which were missing from his first year. Polycours reacted very quickly and it was not long until the necessary assistance was put into place. Our son has improved significantly in grades and I think also in trust. Regarding the gaps, they will be taken care of over time. There is still work but we were able to reduce the course from twice to once a week.

Charlotte, 15, is a second year high school student studying German. Her teacher told me she was an unruly student who didn’t do her work and did not focus.   ... Charlotte reported to me how this teacher would repeatedly blame her for the slightest noise or agitation in the classroom.
This teacher moved Charlotte to sit by herself by the window! This was a disaster for her grades and her behavior, of course, and so I began to look for a language tutor. Charlotte herself was aware of the situation and was actively involved in this process. 

After several searches for a language school, I was directed to Polycours Institute. 

At once, individuality, respect for the child, and her pace, listening to her abilities and difficulties… these were all key points for this German tutoring session. Charlotte now studies with care, I want to say. A reciprocal relationship of trust was established with her teacher at the Polycours Institute. 

She has, little by little, developed a taste for learning the language. She has, little by little, gotten pleasure from listening and speaking the language. At the end of the third quarter, the German teacher at the school celebrated the progress of Charlotte. Her average improved! Though she is still not seen as excellent. 
But the goal was achieved: to restore confidence and especially the of learning. Thank you to the team who listened to this teen, thank you to the collaboration who gave her this pleasure.

In these few lines, I would like to express my complete satisfaction of the teacher that you gave to my son Quentin.
Indeed, patience, perseverance and kindness have been instrumental in improving Quentin‘s academic achievement in mathematics.

Thanks to its tutor, Quentin regained confidence not only in mathematics but also in other subjects.
His coach has also shown flexibility in his schedule to assist Quentin, especially when he had tests, and I am infinitely grateful.
In the past I have often used tutors, but only your institute has been able to identify the real needs of Quentin and offer the right person.

Luca has passed his 9th year exams and has done well, especially on his math test. it should be noted that he had a GPA of 4.4 in the last quarter and his grade for the exam was a 4.2.

I, for one, thank you very much and would like to express my gratitude for the work and patience incurred during the 10 weeks when our son progressed in an exemplary manner. This would not have been possible without your help. You found a way to explain to him and talk with him, something so often lacking in some other teachers and we as parents. My little Camille, aged 8, has always had difficulty with concentration and is not careful with written work, among other things, and has a problem with a lack of attention. It’s difficult to guide Camille, to motivate her for working and to support her in her efforts.

We know that hyperactive children benefit enormously from individualized attention. Polycours gave Camille the following support in particular: how to properly follow the curriculum and keep up with her classmates for successful year-end tests, and have fun with learning. This has been possible thanks to educators who not only familiar with the program and know how to give clear explanations, but mostly have a great love for children and are able to offer games, riddles, easy to remember diagrams  ... Camille still has a long way to go, and I will continue to rely on the Polycours team as necessary.
