Today, more and more students need remedial tutoring, especially due to a lack of methodology, organisation or self-confidence.

Most problems are the result of an unidentified learning style or unadapted methods to acquire knowledge in a specific subject.

Institut Polycours takes into account the potential of each student to give him or her the possibility to make quick progress and gain in autonomy.

For whom?  

Children and teenagers aged 7 to 20 facing learning difficulties at school or a lack of motivation and self-confidence. When needed, we combine school support with coaching to overcome problems of organisation and methodology.

All subjects are covered, including electives in technical school – either in French, English or any other language if possible.

We put a lot of effort into providing a personalised solution, taking into account course content, as well as methodology and choice of tutor.  

Methodology:

1/ Audit of skills and deficiencies either at home or at our centre

Polycours’ education specialists help identify / highlight individual needs. 

In a meeting with a specialised coordinator, an audit of skills and deficiencies is completed. Areas of improvement and learning tips are presented to the parents and the student. Recommendations are discussed and jointly defined course objectives are validated together with the student.

Student contribution and custom work plan reinforce motivation and self-confidence.

2/ Custom and detailed work plan

Key to success.

The coordinator establishes an assessment of the student’s learning style and needs, as a basis for the work plan. Courses are efficient from the start, savingtime.

The tutor is chosen according to the student’s personality and interests as well as to his/her needs and schedule. 

4/ Monitoring

Always stay informed of your child’s progress

The designated coordinator remains available and in charge of the follow-up of the courses. If needs change, the coordinator will make sure that the work plan and tutor are promptly adapted.

Should the chemistry between the student and the tutor not prove successful, Institut Polycours will do its utmost to find an alternative as soon as possible.

We create a student file on our Intranet. The record and weekly progress are then always available via a secured and dedicated access (multi-user entries).

With our knowledge and network of book publishers and retailers, our coordinators will point you to the right bookor the right place to find a school or training materials. Institut Polycours will even buy it and ship it to your home.

Team:

·        Coordinators: professionals in the field of Education, they constitute the link between the students and their tutors.

·       Tutors: all our tutors are interviewed, assessed and selected by our Coordinators. They are qualified with University level and at least a 5 year age difference with the student. Polycours’ educational experts ad here to the Quality Charter of our Company.

·       Teachers: all our teachers are interviewed, assessed and selected by our Coordinators. They are Qualified Teachers, and ad here like the tutors to the methodology and values of Polycours.

Procedure:

       An audit is required before the start of any course selection of an educational expert. it can take place either at your home or at Polycours' centre.
